    Kreg Jigs

I've used kreg for years, mostly as a quick way to build door frames for stands, not super high end cabinets, etc. but I've also used it to build a couple stands for a 55 and a 60. Decent quality screws have good sheer strength so I wouldn't worry too much. Agree with comments about glue...

    Phosphate levels

I've soaked dead rock in a lye solution. I've recharged GFO with lye and figured it would work with rock since the lye binds with the phosphate.

    Frogspawn in distress!!

I had a huge colony die back in '07. I left part of the skeleton in the tank and it came back six months later. I still have it so my suggestion is to leave it be but watch params, up your water changes and hope for the best. JMO.

Arm & Hamme/ Baking Soda Dosing

You can bake it to drive out the CO2 and that will help raise your ph. I don't bake since I don't have a low ph issue but I dissolve it in my top off and let it drip in. I'm more cautious with alk levels

    Peppermint shrimp.

Peppermints are reef safe in general. I had some that ate some yellow polyps but never bothered zoas, sps, lps, xenia. I broke down the tank after a couple years and 2 out of 5 had survived all that time without aptaisia.

    Peppermint Shrimp

how do i kill the red

It is the safest and most effective ime. I've used several. I was one of the many that got taken by Blue Life's crap back in the day. They were lantham or whatever and it dropped PH, alk and I lost sps and a yellow tang to that $heeeet. Boyds if used right works really well.

    Birdsnest help; bleaching

I've pocci bleach from adding carbon and clearing up my dirty a$$ water. It was an established tank, just neglected. Only variable was additional light from water clarity. Lost half the colony.
