cool. I used to do VSV (Vodka, sugar, vinegar) but I cut out the sugar because it browned out my nems. I had the most success with 100ml of vodka mixed with 200ml of vinegar.

Awesome tank. I'm sure the two fishes you picked up are going to love it in there. Hope they made the trip ok. Thanks again.

No thank you for the awesome deal! They are fine. In fact you can tell they are close tank mates cause one is never without the other. They are out and about exploring the tank now so I am sure they have made themselves at home.

When your tank is all settled, please add me to your - replacement coral- list. I will cut a few frags and bring them to an IEMAS meeting if you would like.

Did you ever get a cyano outbreak? I did vsv but had a slight cyano. Was going to try just vinegar, but if your formulary works ill give it a shot.
I got a bad cyano outbreak because I dosed straight vodka with no bacteria. I think you will be fine as long as you dose bacteria like ZeoBak or prodibio. MB7 wouldn't hurt as a second source as its not a bacteria. If you do get a cyano outbreak, coral snow did wonders for me.

OK these Florida Ceriths just came in the mail:

Already dripped for an hour and placed into the tank. Very satisfied with the order. All the snailes are 1"+. I got them at 0.30 cents each with a flat shipping of $14.50. I got a total of 50 in all for less than $30. I hope these guys will help make a dent in my nasty diatom bloom. I didnt get as many since the diatom phase will go away and I dont ant the snails to starve.

Also got the Biocube filled back up and will start stocking it with plants and what not on Monday.

Well I am off to bed finally since I have to work tonight lol!

Some quick pic updates. Either the diatom bloom is dying out or those 50 cerith snails are seriously on the attack mode cause the sand is practically clear and there are a ton of white spots on the rocks now. Also the water has cleared considerably. Looks like the bacterial bloom from the pellet reactor has come to pass.
