After sanding down everything with the belt sander, I pushed a few nails in that were getting in the way of sanding and then did more detailed work with the sheet sander.
After sanding, I filled a bunch of places with wood filler so will need to go back over those areas again later.
The hubby removed the piece of trim on each end that covered the crack where the seam is and put the boards on top that the perimeter of the tank will sit on.
We also played around with different moulding choices and decided mostly what we'll be using.

Actually I'm not sure which one of us have done the most work on this stand but I'm pretty sure I have done the most physically exhausting work. He's done most of the measuring and cutting because, let's face it, if I did that the whole thing would be jacked up!
