Well it's just the par30 not 38 but I hope to still see more improvement that a regular cfl bulb. I left all my chaeto and other algaes in a bucket of water and forgot about it for a couple of weeks. I ended up drying it out and tossing it because it smelled bad. I saved very small pieces of some but I am going to be adding new stuff

30g. Wc, vaccumed the Sand bed, rescaped, and emptied out the skimmer cup.

While rescaping I attempted to extract my clone of a RBTA and failed. Tried everything including pulling it out of the aquarium and flipping it over. Also made an instant mini colony of pink smoothie digitata and some instant small frags of solitude tort and A blue stag.

Also glued down my zoa horn scape.

I swear your equipment will be just as beautiful as your DT. I'm so interested to see this tank come together.

Right on the colors are starting to take place soon you can just look at the system and see every piece run from start to finish and follow its path:) Plus it fun to look at and tinker with......something about control:)
Thank you for the nice words, by the way your yellow fish is my fav since i don't have water!

I can't tell that my chaeto ball has grown at all since I got it mid Jan. I thought I put the exact same bulb in the fixture when I set the tank back up after the move but I noticed yesterday that it was only 3600k and I swear I had a 5000k in there before so I switched it last night and am anxious to see if I have more growth in the next week or so. If not, I might have to try out the par 38 ecoxotic bulb that I won at the last MACNA. I have no idea where it is, though....

Just learned and implemented the "DEFER" statement on my APEX's's's to keep the skimmer from kicking on until 1 minute 30 seconds after the return pump kicks on so the skimmers don't overflow. w00t!
I got my skimmer on a float switch to shut off if the water level is too high in the sump using my RKL. Reef controllers FTW!

For the seahorse Nano I fab'd an overflow cover out of neeedlepoint plastic and painted it black.. hopefully they will keep their tails out of the overflow now! :p Then I made and installed a 1.25 " Durso Standpipe on the 60 gl. ... right before I broke the dang wood on the canopy frame! Am gonna try to piece it back together tomorro. May be my excuse to UPGRADE soon! :)
